Chiseled Fangs is an uncommon one-handed dagger added to World of Warcraft in the Mists of Pandaria expansion. It is a short blade with a massive, broad edge whose jagged facets genuinely resemble fangs carved from stone. The dark steel with a cold gray-steel sheen and the rough grip wrapping make the model look utilitarian and predatory — no ornaments and no glow.
The dagger belongs to the world-drop category: it has no fixed specialization, and any class that uses daggers can wield it. In terms of stats it is a long-outdated low-level green item, so the only reason to obtain it today is its appearance for transmogrification. The dagger's look stays in your collection forever after the first time you acquire the item.
Chiseled Fangs drops as a world loot item from creatures in two island zones of Mists of Pandaria — the Isle of Thunder and the Isle of Giants. It is not a guaranteed drop from a specific boss but a random item from the zone's shared loot table, so the dagger can drop from most ordinary mobs in these locations.
One confirmed source is the Zandalari Stoneshield, a level 90 NPC on the Isle of Thunder.
Key farming details:
Farming world-drop loot is a game of probabilities: settle in for a long hunt and kill creatures in the densest possible stream.
The young skyscreamers on the Isle of Thunder are convenient because they gather in large flocks and respawn quickly — this is one of the best spots for mass killing.
Take a character with high area damage: the ability to kill several creatures in one pass directly increases the number of drop checks per hour.
Flying is disabled on the islands, so value ground movement speed — a druid in travel form or a class with dashes will cut the time between mob groups.
Chiseled Fangs binds on pickup, so you need to farm it on exactly the character who wants the look.
Alongside the dagger, other uncommon items from the zone's shared table will drop — do not discard them right away; check whether they unlock new looks in your collection.
Compare the drop with an item you already own: if the dagger's look is already counted in your collection, there is no point in farming this particular model any further.
